The army of the Russian Federation attacked Kherson and Kharkiv region once again: critical infrastructure, educational and medical institutions were damaged
Russian occupation forces continue to terrorize the civilian population of Ukraine. Over the past 24 hours, on May 11, the enemy attacked Kherson and Kharkiv regions, as a result of which civilians were injured.
Communities of Beryslav and Kherson districts were under the devastating blows of Russian troops. The aggressor fired on civilian settlements with rocket systems of volley fire, heavy artillery, mortars, aircraft and UAVs.
During the artillery shelling of the s. A 55-year-old woman was wounded in Romashkovo, Kherson region. Also, the enemy covered the artillery fire of s. Odradokamenka of the Tyagin community, there were injured spouses of pensioners, a 71-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman with a contusion, their condition is stable.
The enemy army covered residential quarters of Kherson around the clock, the city center and coastal areas came under artillery and mortar fire from the left bank of the Dnieper.
In the historical center of Kherson, the shells of the invaders hit the educational institution, which is the oldest in the city. After the “arrival” inside the building, a fire started, unfortunately, the gymnasium is almost destroyed.
Also, two police service vehicles were damaged by shrapnel debris, employees were not injured. The occupiers attacked critical infrastructure facilities, a public transport enterprise, where a trolleybus was damaged after shelling and an administrative building was vandalized.
Apartment buildings in the Korabel neighborhood, HBC and in the center have broken windows and destroyed balconies, splinters chipped the facades of shops and hospitals.
In Kharkiv region, the invaders shelled the village of Velykyi Burluk and the city of Volchansk with a rocket system of volley fire. A 16-year-old girl and women aged 43 and 61 were injured. The victims were taken to the hospital.
Damaged shopping pavilions in the local market, private houses, an administrative building and an educational institution.
In the city of Volchansk, a shell hit a private house. An 87-year-old local resident was injured, who was trapped under the rubble. She was admitted to the hospital.
Investigative and operational teams, experts and explosives technicians worked at the scene. On the facts of violation of the laws and customs of war, the investigators opened criminal proceedings under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
