The 10 police officers who recently joined the White Angel unit received training in tactical medicine from US instructors.

All have improved their skills in rescuing the seriously injured. The law enforcement officers were trained by paramedics from the Global Outreach Doctors organization working at stations near the front line. The training was conducted by tactical medicine instructor Aaron Barker, who had previously rescued people near Bakhmut. Paramedic shared his experience on how to save the lives of people who received several serious injuries at once.

“White Angels"” worked out the specifics of providing assistance for injuries received as a result of shelling - amputations, arterial bleeding, etc. In particular, they practiced putting tourniquets, tamping wounds, helping with pneumothorax.

During the course, the policemen consolidated their knowledge, since they already have basic training in tactical medicine and have had to rescue victims more than once. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, police groups “White Angel” of Donetsk region have provided first aid to 282 people, delivered 332 wounded and sick to medical institutions.
