8.5 thousand cannabis and poppy bushes: border guards discover four fool plantations
Three areas with hemp plantations were discovered by employees of the 9th border detachment in Kyiv and Zhytomyr region.
According to the information of the operational staff, it was possible to detain two young men who were processing crops of the fool. In total, more than 8,300 cannabis bushes were found on plots with a total area of 1.5 hectares.
Another branch was found by the operatives in Zhytomyr region. The interdepartmental group of border guards and the National Police in the framework of criminal proceedings conducted searches on the outskirts of a resident of the Korosten district. During the event, more than 200 poppy bushes were identified and removed.
According to these facts, investigative actions are ongoing. Those involved in illegal activities are threatened with criminal liability under Art. 310 CCU “Sowing or cultivation of dreamy poppy or hemp”.
