$8.5 thousand for military deregistration: police detained an intermediary for a bribe
Nikolaev police detained an intermediary for extorting a bribe in the amount of $8500 for assistance in removal from military registration.
Law enforcement officers established that a 35-year-old local resident, in a preliminary conspiracy with an official of the territorial center of staffing and social support, demanded money from the citizen. He was summoned to pass the military hospital commission.
For assistance in resolving the issue in obtaining the relevant documents for removal from military registration due to unsuitability for service, the intermediary demanded money. After receiving the bribe, the investigators detained the defendant in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The money was withdrawn. The attacker was informed of the suspicion.
Now the defendant is in custody. The precautionary measure was chosen in the form of detention with the right to make a bail in the amount of one million hryvnias.
