Law enforcers continue measures to block criminal “schemes” of crossing the border by persons and detaining persons involved in its organization and functioning. One of these “schemes” was exposed by the operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in Lviv region and investigators of the Investigative Department of the Regional Police. It was established that two residents of Lviv and Volyn regions were involved in its organization, who helped men to leave the EU without hindrance.

According to the “scheme” developed by the defendants, in front of the checkpoint “client” was picked up by the driver of the bus - a participant in the transaction. Later, during passport control, the employees did not enter the relevant information into the information base about the crossing of the border by a certain person, which allowed her to freely leave the country. The attackers estimated their “services” for one “transfer” at $8,000.

On September 22, USR operatives, police investigators together with employees of the SBU Regional Directorate, Lviv Customs and Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office detained two members of the criminal group on the territory of the gas station of the city of Ustyluh, Volyn region. They were informed of suspicions under Part 3 of Art. 332 (Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and chose a preventive measure in the form of detention with the right to make bail.
