80 fires in ecosystems in Kyiv region and 7 dry grass fires in Lviv region: rescuers ask citizens to observe fire safety rules
Over the weekend, 80 fires occurred in the Kiev region in ecosystems on a total area of 19 hectares.
Of these, 43 - burning grass, 9 - garbage, 2 - peat, 3 - on farmland, 1 - forest. As a result, one person died, one was injured, and one was saved.
In addition, during the extinguishing of the grass flooring in the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region, the duty guard of the 3rd State Fire and Rescue Department rescued a hedgehog, which almost burned alive.
In addition, seven puffs of dry grass were caught in the Lviv region on the “hot” side. “Owners” who burn dry grass in their personal plots, in the fields, near the huts should remember about the punishment in the form of fines:
- for citizens from 3 060 UAH to 6 120 UAH
- for officials - 15 300 hryvnias to 21 420 hryvnias
So this weekend, a raid group worked in Lviv district. It consisted of employees of the State Emergency Service of Lviv region and the National Police. First of all, explanatory work was carried out with the population. Information leaflets were distributed to citizens about the prohibition of burning dry grass and the danger posed by such fires.
Despite this, during the raid, 7 administrative protocols were drawn up for burning dry vegetation. To search for violators, a drone was involved.
Emergency responders are once again calling on citizens to be accountable.
First of all, dry grass and debris should not be burned in the backyard plots, have an open fire next to outbuildings, and leave cigarette butts and matches on dry grass bedding.
It should be remembered - during the burning of leaves and other plant residues, harmful chemical compounds are released into the air, which reduce human immunity, cause allergies, respiratory diseases, aggravate the negative course of chronic, and also contribute to the development of cancer.
Rescuers once again emphasize - burning dry grass, shrubs, garbage and other vegetation is prohibited!
