Today, during a working trip to the Western Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine, together with the Chairman Sergey Deynek, the soldiers were presented with awards and keys to housing. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko reported on his Telegram channel.
Border guards of this department are on duty at checkpoints around the clock, prevent crimes, and control almost 2 thousand kilometers of the border.
State awards, including the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and “For Courage”, were awarded to 24 border guards who not only serve in border detachments, but also fight invaders on the front line.
“Among the 73 border guards who received their own housing, 48 were combatants. Also, apartments were received by 5 families of servicemen who died on the front line. Among them are the families of Heroes of Ukraine Roman Gakh and Igor Dashko. Our task is to take care of every fighter of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
