$4000 for closing administrative cases: in Odessa region exposed by a judge
A judge of one of the district magistrates is suspected of inciting an offer of ill-gotten gains and fraud.
The operatives of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Odessa region of the National Police, together with the NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, exposed the illegal activities of the representative of the judicial branch.
As the investigation established, the judge induced the citizen to offer illegal benefits in the amount of $4000 allegedly for transfer to the judges of the district court of the Odessa region.
For the specified amount, they allegedly had to make decisions on the closure of administrative cases. Nevertheless, the indicated amount of money was disposed of by the defendant at his own discretion.
On the basis of the collected evidence, the judge of one of the district courts of the Odessa region was informed of the suspicion under Part 4 of Article 27, Part 3 of Art. 369 (Offer, promise or provision of an unlawful benefit to an official) and Part 1 of Art. 190 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
