35 Russian attacks in a day: Donetsk police documented civilian killings and destruction
Yesterday, May 19, the Russian occupation forces once again attacked the civilian population of Donetsk region with missiles, drones, jet and barrel artillery.
The Russian army shelled 15 settlements, including the cities of Avdiyivka, Hirnyk, Krasnogorovka, Mirnohrad, Pokrovsk, Siversk, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, Zarichne, Berdychi, Bohatyr, Novoukrayinka, Maksymivka, Mykhailivka, Stupochki.
Destroyed and damaged 31 civilian objects — 14 residential buildings, factory workshops, mines, warehouses, outbuildings, garages, cars.
From morning to evening, the invaders hit the Chasovy Yar with artillery, killed two civilians, damaged the dwelling.
The Russian military covered Toretsk with fire from “Grad”, “Hurricanes” and artillery. A civilian was injured. Destruction was suffered by multi-family and 7 private houses, infrastructure.
As a result of enemy shelling, we have a wounded man in Siversk.
In addition, today at 5:10 the enemy struck Slavyansk with an air missile. 10 homes were damaged. There was no information on the victims.
Police and SBU opened criminal proceedings under Art. 438 (violation of laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
With the help of the police, another 683 people were evacuated, since the beginning of the mandatory evacuation — 73,020 people, among them 8,478 — children, 3,220 — people with disabilities.
