3.5 million losses to the city budget for the repair of a children's health complex: the contractor was informed of suspicion
In April 2018, an agreement was concluded between the director of the children's institution and the contractor for the overhaul and reconstruction of the buildings of the health complex located in the Kiev region. However, the contractor unreasonably overstated the cost of the completed construction work, as a result of which he seized budget funds in particularly large sizes.
The contractor provided the customer with acts of acceptance of the work performed, in which knowingly false information was entered with a significant overestimation of the cost of the volumes of work, as well as the amount of necessary building materials. As a result of illegal actions to the local budget of the territorial community of the city of Kyiv, losses in the amount of more than 3.3 million hryvnias were caused.
Law enforcement officers initiated criminal proceedings under Part 4, 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - the seizure of property by an official, by abuse of his official position, committed by a previous conspiracy by a group of persons in particularly large sizes.
The contractor was notified of suspicion of committing a crime and the issue of choosing a preventive measure is currently being resolved. He acted in collusion with the director of the specified institution, he was informed of the suspicion earlier.
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years and with confiscation of property.
