December 3 — International Day of Persons with Disabilities
International Day of Persons with Disabilities is not a holiday, but is designed to draw attention to the problems of these people, protect their rights, dignity and well-being, and focuses the attention of society on the benefits that it derives from the participation of people with disabilities in political, social, economic and cultural life.
On this day, we once again remind you that in certain service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for persons with disabilities there is an opportunity to pass exams on theoretical training and practical driving of a car with manual control.
The initiative is implemented within the framework of the flagship project “Driving schools for people with disabilities” https://driveability.mvs.gov.ua/
Most rooms are equipped with barrier-free space with special ramps with handrails and non-slippery surfaces.
At the entrances there are call buttons for administrators who have mastered the basics of Ukrainian sign language for serving citizens with hearing and/or speech impairment.
There are also specially designated parking spaces, which are located as close as possible to the building.
Service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for accessibility and barrier-free access. Everyone should feel comfortable and important.
