26 border violators and 1.3 million hryvnia perfume smuggling: how the day went by the border guards
Border guards exposed a driver who tried to move among the humanitarian a batch of perfume worth 1.3 million hryvnias, and six violators were detained in Transcarpathia.
The undeclared goods were illegally tried to move across the border by a 41-year-old resident of Lviv region. He was discovered by border guards at the checkpoint “Shegini”.
To pass the control, the driver of the car chose the “red corridor” lane. During the inspection, he reported that he was moving personal belongings, medicines and clothes to Ukraine for a charitable foundation. The vehicle was sent for further inspection.
During the inspection, the border outfit found more than 400 French perfumes in the cabin of the minibus.
On this fact, customs officers drew up a protocol. The estimated cost of undeclared perfumes is 1.3 million hryvnias.
Meanwhile, the servicemen of the “Business” department stopped a father and son from Poltava region. With the help of a wetsuit and nippers, they managed to violate the state border of Ukraine. Among the things of Poltava border guards also found changeable clothes.
The men decided to independently build the route, focusing on information from social networks. At first, the men intended to bypass the control posts of the border guards through the mountain area, and later, having overcome the barrier fence with the help of nippers, in wetsuits to cross the Tysa, along which the Ukrainian-Romanian border runs. The end point for them was to be America.
In addition, the outfits of the “Business” department detained a resident of the Zaporizhzhya region. The resident of the Kherson region was discovered by the soldiers of the Tyachiv department. Two more residents of Zhytomyr region and the Carpathian region were hindered by border outfits from the Solotvyno branch.
Detainees were taken to border units.
In total, on October 4, 71 thousand people and 18 thousand vehicles crossed the western borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova (in the Chernivtsi region).
36 thousand people left Ukraine. 23 thousand of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest followed to other EU countries and Moldova.
To Ukraine were followed - 35 thousand people, 30 thousand of them - citizens of Ukraine.
80 trucks with humanitarian aid were issued.
26 people were detained for attempting to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine. One of them tried to cross the border illegally at the checkpoint, another 25 were detained outside designated crossing points.
