23 people were killed, 66 taken to the lyre — Russians fired on humanitarian column in Zaporizhzhia
Three enemy missiles of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile complex hit a humanitarian column standing near the Zaporizhzhy-Orikhiv highway this morning.
According to the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zaporizhzhya region, at 7:10 Russian troops launched three missile strikes on the area of the car market near the Zaporizhzhy-Orikhiv highway. A column of civilians was in the affected area, trying to cross the checkpoint and leave for the temporarily occupied territory.
It is known that 248 civilian cars were registered for the departure from Zaporozhye today. At the time of the shelling, there were about 100 people on the scene.
At the moment, 23 dead are known, 66 people have been taken to medical facilities in the city. Their condition is established.
People died and were injured as a result of being hit by debris. After all, S-300 missiles explode when hit, scattering impressive elements over a large area.
Police, military and civilian medics, Red Cross volunteers, rescuers worked at the scene.
