22 strikes in a day: Russia hit housing sector, school and communal facilities in Donetsk region
The enemy used rockets and artillery on 14 settlements in Donetsk region. There are losses among the civilian population. Police officers recorded Russian war crimes.
Avdiyivka suffered the most — seven attacks on the city were documented. Also, the city was subjected to mass shelling. Bakhmut, m. Druzhkivka, m. Krasnohorivka, m. Siversk, m. Toretsk, Komyshivka village, Ocheretyne village, s. Zhelanne II, p. Memryk, p. Netaylovo, s. Pervomaiske, s. Fedorivka, s. Bright.
The occupation forces used missiles “S-300”, RZV “Hurricane”, “Grad”, artillery and launched an air strike.
There are wounded and dead among the civilian population.
51 objects were destroyed and damaged — 40 residential buildings, a utility, a school, agricultural machinery, a hangar and a correctional colony building.
Police officers worked at the landing sites, who collected evidence of Russian war crimes. Police and SBU opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
During the day, 427 citizens were evacuated by police forces. In total, more than 7000 people have left for safer regions since the beginning of August, more than 1,300 of them are children.
