20% of crimes in Ukraine are fraud

One of the most common types of crime is fraud. It accounts for more than 20% of all crime. In 2023, the National Police registered more than 80,000 frauds. Currently, police are implementing new strategies to combat fraudsters.
Often among the victims of scammers are servicemen and volunteers, families of deceased defenders and internally displaced persons.
Law enforcers ask Ukrainians to be cautious, to protect themselves, not to trust strangers and not to allow themselves to be deceived.
