18 new cars added to the fleet of Bukovyna police
As part of the visit to Bukovina, the Head of the National Police of Ukraine Igor Klymenko presented to the representatives of the structural and territorial units of the GUNP in the Chernivtsi region keys for service cars, certificates for apartments, departmental incentive awards and special police ranks. The event was also attended by a delegation of Romanian police.
The head of the National Police handed over to representatives of the Bukovina police the keys of 18 service cars. In particular, 14 — received police officers from ten territorial communities, 3 — representatives of other units of the GUNP in the Chernivtsi region, and the SUV — KORD fighters.
Replenishment of the vehicle fleet became possible thanks to the implementation of the project “Community Police Officer”. Vehicles are equipped with everything necessary for the performance of official duties of police officers.
Recall that in Bukovina the project “Community Police Officer” started in September last year. At present, representatives of 38 territorial communities in the region have already joined the cooperation. Therefore, 52 terrocommunities were formed on the territory of Bukovina, 47 police stations and 2 security centers were opened. 45 community police officers have been appointed to the positions, another 12 are undergoing training and 11 are competitive selection.
Igor Klymenko is convinced that thanks to the fruitful cooperation between the police, communities and the authorities in the implementation of such projects, the level of trust of the population in the police is increasing:
“The National Police of Ukraine, together with representatives of local authorities and communities, is strengthening the material and technical base for providing police officers of communities. These joint efforts are aimed at making living in the regions safer, and citizens feel protected,” the head of the NPU said at the time.
In addition, Igor Klymenko handed two special officers of the Bukovyna police certificates from service apartments. Also, law enforcement officers received special titles, departmental honors and awards.
The head of the National Police of Ukraine thanked Bukovyna police officers for their proper service.
