September 17, Day of the Savior: heroes without weapons perform feats in real life
Our fellow saviors demonstrate daily indestructibility and dedication. In the system, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is especially grateful to the employees of the State Emergency Service for their constant assistance, support for the life of the entire Ukrainian society in the conditions of the war started by Russia.
Your round-the-clock work - eliminating the consequences of Russian shelling, extinguishing fires, rescuing people from rubble, demining our Ukrainian land, destroying Russian munitions, sending humanitarian aid to the de-occupied territory, restoring critical infrastructure and networks — all this is the SNS of Ukraine.
Your business is thousands of lives saved, fires eliminated and more than 430 thousand defused explosive items.
Our rescuers are one of the essential parts of Ukrainian invulnerability.
Today 435 Ukrainian rescuers have been awarded state awards. Three employees of the State Emergency Service are Heroes of Ukraine.
Also, you do not spare your life or your health: 287 employees of the State Emergency Service were injured in the line of duty, 80 Ukrainian rescuers died.
We honor the memory of each deceased, you will serve as an example for all of us.
