UAH 108 thousand bribe for renting premises for storing charitable aid: police detained an official of the capital's racetrack
The deputy head of the municipal enterprise was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine when receiving the first part of the bribe. For her actions, she can face from five to ten years in prison.
Kiev police officers exposed a corruption scheme, in the functioning of which officials of the capital's racetrack are involved. They demanded remuneration from persons for the unhindered rental of premises on the balance sheet of the utility company.
For the conclusion of the lease agreement for the premises for the storage of charitable assistance, the defendants demanded from the head of the fund 108,000 hryvnias of illegal benefits.
Law enforcement officers detained the deputy head of the Kiev racecourse in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine after receiving the first part of the ill-gotten benefit - 18 000 UAH.
The issue of declaring suspicion to the respondent of the fact of acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official is resolved (part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Further measures are being carried out to collect the evidence base to attract all officials involved in the scheme.
