100 heroes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were awarded state awards
Today, February 1, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine presented state awards to employees of the National Police, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, servicemen of the National Guard, the State Border Service. In total, according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine, one hundred heroes were awarded orders and medals for the performance of official duty in conditions associated with the risk to life during measures to ensure national security and defense, repulse and deter armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
The award was presented by Acting Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko.
“Thanks to each of you, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been adequately providing not only domestic law order in the state for 11 months, but also defending our country. We have many wounded, crippled brethren — all of them should be remembered and do everything possible to ensure that they continue to defend our country. We also lost many of our colleagues, friends and comrades in combat. They will live in the hearts of each of us,” Igor Klymenko addressed those present at the ceremony.
He noted that all the components of the Ministry of Internal Affairs expect much more work on the way to Victory, in particular a truly combat one. And now is the time to honor those professionals who can exemplify the performance of official duty, so that others can follow and multiply it.
“Victory is forged by people like you. I want to thank each of you for what you have been doing for almost a year. In 11 months, the country and all of us have changed. Not only what has always been in our hearts has changed, and how we love our country,” the acting minister addressed the award-winning acting minister, mentioning the border guards and national guards who are heroically defending the Ukrainian fortresses of Bakhmut and Avdiyivka at these moments.
At the end of the event, Igor Klymenko wished each hero to preserve his life at this time of struggle — his own, his family's, his brothers, the lives of our people of Ukraine.
“Those who today face death, with the grief of other people, are the people who will cement our state, its economy for many decades to come. I want everyone not to get tired, no matter how hard it is. The country is proud of you,” the head of the department said to the heroes, most of whom will immediately go to their forefront.
In particular, this is the Hero of Ukraine soldier Roman Glomba, an anti-aircraft gunner of the National Guard unit, who today received the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree. This guy from Transcarpathia managed to shoot down five enemy Su-25 “Grach” assault rifles and one cruise missile.
If you translate this “railroad” into monetary terms, you can firmly say that it has “canceled” tens of millions of dollars worth of equipment and weapons into the enemy. “Now their planes fly much less often, or try to stay away from our positions.
Therefore, we are waiting for new, more modern models of foreign anti-aircraft missile systems, in order to defeat the enemy “birds” - the fighter talks about his combat background with hidden and satisfied emotion. For the
first time Roman was not afraid of “Players” and did not get lost 29 April Last year, when in the process of reconnaissance of airspace and covering our positions, which were massively stormed from the ground by the enemy, he hit a couple of Russian assault rifles trying to cover the actions of his infantry. Then there was a series of successful almost sniper attacks on enemy targets. Moreover, Roman Glomba worked with the Soviet “Eagle” PZRK. “Of course, adrenaline was playing at that time.
And even more so, he fiddled when intelligence received confirmation of a successful hit on the target. The fighting spirit has risen quite a bit!”, - the National Guard anti-aircraft gunner tells about his combat experience. The guard assures that he is ready to master more complex and effective weapons from our partners, if they come to the unit.
But the head of the main department of the NPU in the Zaporizhzhya region, Colonel of the Police Artem Kisko, who was awarded the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky III degree on this day, is known for being able to effectively form and lead a consolidated detachment of the National Police, which performed military and military tasks in Mariupol surrounded by the enemy.
“One of our most important achievements from the difficult history of Mariupol was the establishment of a communication system between the city's defenders, law enforcement, emergency and rescue services. There we invented our unique algorithm for working and interacting with civilians who could not leave and suffered from shelling, lack of information and normal life. We tried to provide them with all this despite the daily risk, when every hour and even minute of your life can be the last,” the head of the Zaporizhzhya police shares his experience.
War, as he points out, has become an endless lesson for all, a new theory and practice at the same time. Now police officers, at least in front-line regions, are well trained not only in their functionality. They have a good understanding of the protocols for providing emergency medical assistance, know how to organize fire extinguishing and clearing rubble, understand how urban communications are arranged and how to react when they become vulnerable. Hardened by war and daily challenges, the entire staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine now really meets its basic the definition of “ministry of your security”.
