The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine conducts electronic consultations with the public on the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On Amendments to the License Conditions for the Conduct of Economic Activities for the Production and Repair of Non-Military Firearms and Ammunition for It, Cold Weapons, Pneumatic Weapons of More Than Caliber 4.5 mm and a bullet flight speed of more than 100 meters per second, trade in non-military firearms and ammunition therefor, cold weapons, pneumatic weapons of caliber over 4.5 millimeters, and bullet flight speed exceeding 100 meters per second; production of special devices charged with tear and irritant substances, personal protection, active defense and their sale” (hereinafter referred to as the draft resolution), which was published on March 31, 2023 under the subheading “Draft regulations” headings “Normative base of the Ministry of Internal Affairs” of the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs: here.
The implementation of the draft resolution will apply to economic entities that carry out economic activities in the production, repair, trade of non-military firearms, ammunition for it, cold, pneumatic weapons, special means.
Stakeholders to whom the implementation of the draft resolution will apply: the state, individuals and economic entities in the field of production, repair, trade in non-military firearms, ammunition for it, cold, pneumatic weapons, special means.
Possible consequences of the implementation of the draft resolution for these social groups of the population and interested parties are:
- optimization and simplification of the procedure for obtaining permits for citizens to purchase weapons, ammunition for them; - participation of economic entities in the provision of services for issuing permits for the purchase and storage of weapons; - ensuring the maintenance of a single weapon record in the state i.
