The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine conducts electronic consultations with the public on the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated May 10, 2022 No. 584” (hereinafter referred to as the draft resolution), published on December 13, 2023 in the subheading “Projects Normative acts” heading “Normative base of the Ministry of Internal Affairs” of the official web portal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The implementation of the draft resolution will apply to:

• persons who have ordered the service of exchanging or obtaining a driver's license by means of the electronic driver's office or the Dia Portal and, due to certain circumstances, are unable to obtain it;
• persons who used the service of paid storage of license plates, the term of responsible storage of which expired during the period of martial law.

Possible consequences of the implementation of the draft resolution for these social groups of the population and interested parties are:

• providing the opportunity for persons who, due to certain circumstances, did not receive a driver's license made on the form, to submit an application to the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to refuse to receive it and re-apply for the service,
• providing the opportunity for persons who have used the service of paid storage of license plates and are currently abroad and/or are not able to pay for the storage of such license plates in the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the opportunity during the period of martial law or within 90 days from the date of its termination or cancellation to apply to the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for reassignment by means of a vehicle of license plates that are in responsible storage, and to perform such actions after payment of the cost of the responsible storage service for the entire period such storage.
