On taking action within the framework of the annual World Action “16 Days Against Violence” in Ukraine

In accordance with paragraph 28 of the second part of Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine “On Central Executive Authorities”, Regulations on the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated October 25, 2015 No. 878, the Laws of Ukraine “On Prevention and Countering Domestic Violence”, “On Ensuring Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men”, “On Countering Trafficking in Persons”, Decree of the President of Ukraine of September 21, 2020 No. 398/2020 “On urgent measures to prevent and combat domestic violence, gender-based violence, protecting the rights of persons affected by such violence”, in order to raise public awareness and draw public attention to the problems of overcoming domestic violence, gender-based violence, trafficking in human beings, raising awareness of all segments of the population about intolerance to violence and unconditional protection of human and citizen rights and freedoms.

I INSTRUCT:

1. National Police of Ukraine (Klymenko I.), State Migration Service of Ukraine (Sokoliuk M.), State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (Deyneko S.), National Guard of Ukraine (Balan M.), State Emergency Service of Ukraine (Chechotkin M.), heads of higher educational institutions Ministry of Internal Affairs:

1) with the participation of representatives of the interested state authorities, public organizations, the media, determine the list of events within the framework of the annual World Action “16 Days Against Violence”, the place of their holding, responsible officials. Within the framework of the promotion, provide:

carrying out information and information work among police officers, military personnel, officers and chiefs of the civil protection service, employees, students and cadets on the prevention and counteraction of domestic violence, gender-based violence, trafficking in human beings and ensuring the rights and freedoms of man and citizen;

carrying out information and information work among the population on preventing and countering cases of domestic violence, gender-based violence, trafficking in human beings, formation of intolerance to violence and respect for the rights and freedoms of man and citizen;

coverage of these events in the media and on departmental information resources;

2) submit the approved plans for the implementation of these activities to the Human Rights Monitoring Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Gladchuk D.) by November 15, 2020 in paper form and to the e-mail address: [email protected];

3) provide information on the results of the work carried out to the Human Rights Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Gladchuk D.) by December 15, 2020 in paper form and to the e-mail address: [email protected].

2. Department of Communication of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (Shevchenko A.) organize coverage of these events on the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
