State re-registration of converted vehicles is carried out on the basis of documents on their compliance with road safety requirements. Such documents for vehicles converted by economic entities that carry out economic activities for the conversion of five or more vehicles during the year are a certificate of approval of the design of the vehicle to ensure road safety, issued by the state enterprise “DerzhAvtoTransnDiproekt” or the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the relevant type of conversion submitted together with the certificate of conformity (availability is optional for vehicles converted to work on gas fuels, other than buses), issued by a conformity assessment body recognized and appointed in the prescribed manner to carry out the vehicle certification procedure, and an act of acceptance and transfer of the vehicle in the prescribed form.
