The training was conducted under the guidance of moderators who monitored the course of events. During the elimination of simulated emergencies, representatives of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine identified sources of ionizing radiation, responded to the occurrence of a radiation accident and to incidents related to the leakage of dangerous chemicals at checkpoints. Also, border guards were engaged in the detection of objects with hazardous substances on the green border and assisted other structures in the selection of samples in case of biological contamination.

Different countries participated in the training, participants spoke in different languages, different services and organizations were represented — but the language of professionals does not need translation, the goal of the training was achieved. Rescuers, medics, border guards, psychologists and other services have had a unique opportunity to learn how to act together, help each other and use their equipment.
