The Joint Ukrainian-French Commission is developing two crucial social projects for Ukraine, related to breast cancer detection and supply of quality drinking water.

These issues were discussed today, October 27, in Paris by the co-chairman of the Joint Ukrainian-French Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation – the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrskiy and the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Recovery of the French Republic Bruno Le Maire during the working meeting.

"One of very important projects for us is the development of affordable and high-quality breast cancer detection. Due to the fact that over the past years more than 100 Ukrainian women die of breast cancer every week"- said Denys Monastyrskiy.

Furthermore, according to him, another important area of cooperation within the Ukrainian-French Intergovernmental Commission is the modernization of drinking water supply systems and improving the quality of drinking water in Luhansk region and in Kyiv city.

The Minister of Economy, Finance and Recovery of the French Republic Bruno Le Maire assured the Ukrainian side of France's continued openness in developing all defined social projects.
