During the day of May 18, the units of the State Emergency Service carried out 197 sorties to eliminate the consequences of shelling by the occupiers of settlements and infrastructure facilities. 16 fires were destroyed. Psychological assistance was provided to 112 people.
During the day, the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service were involved 142 times, 5989 explosive objects were detected, seized and defused, including 9 aircraft bombs, an area of 232.02 hectares was surveyed.
For reference: Since the beginning of the war, 95 thousand 66 visits to eliminate the consequences of shelling have been carried out, 14 thousand 605 fires were eliminated, 4 thousand 54 people were rescued, and psychological assistance was provided to 214 thousand 607 people.
Since the beginning of the large-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, 373 thousand 889 explosive objects and 2 thousand 891 kg of explosives have been defused, including 2 thousand 235 aircraft bombs. The area of about 85 thousand 952 hectares was surveyed.
