A policeman and an employee of the military registration and military registration commission of Chernivtsi were exposed for illegal activities
It was established that in Bukovina, a policeman and an employee of the military registration office for a monetary “reward” helped evaders to cross the state border. For illegal transactions, they will be criminally liable.
The Chernivtsi Department of the Department of Internal Security of the National Police of Ukraine received information about the illegal activities of an employee of one of the district police departments and an employee of the Military Registration Office of Bukovina. It was established that the accomplices organized a scheme for issuing documents of a medical nature to citizens of conscription age in order to avoid mobilization and obtain the opportunity to travel abroad.
The conspirators sought clients among conscripts willing to leave the country during the war and offered them $2,500 to be removed from the military register. The officers provided the conclusion of the military medical commission, on the basis of which the mobilized person was recognized as unfit for service in the army. According to the stated facts, the investigators of the TU SBI, located in the city of Khmelnytsky,
under the procedural guidance of the Chernivtsi Regional Prosecutor's Office, initiated criminal proceedings for the year. 3 Art. 332 (Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine) and Part 3 of Art. 368 (Acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Employees of the UDVB, the USBU in the Chernivtsi region and TU SBI detained the law enforcement officer in procedural order during the receipt of monetary “remuneration” from the evader and the transfer of documents to him of the elements.
At the place of residence and in the offices of the defendants, law enforcement officers conducted authorized searches. During the events, more than 23,000 euros and more than $11,000 were discovered and seized. Currently, the detained defendant has already been declared
a suspect, and his accomplice is preparing to hand over the suspicion. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
