In Odesa region, Guard medics have improved their practical actions during emergencies
The medical guards worked out the MARCH algorithm in the concept of TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care). It is applied in the yellow or green area when there is no fire and can be concentrated while helping the injured person in full. The algorithm determines the priorities and procedure for providing assistance to the injured person.
To fully immerse themselves and feel the extreme situation, the warriors were divided into two groups, which had to work in harmony as a single team. In addition, the objective was to provide assistance to the wounded and to evacuate to a safe place while the enemy was firing.
“Such classes are extremely important and valuable for each participant. They make it possible to master innovations in the algorithm for providing first aid in conditions of direct contact with the enemy,” one of the guards notes.
During the classes, the latest approaches to cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation, stopping massive bleeding and other critical conditions of the victim were also practiced.
