Today, on April 5th, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine had a meeting with the delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). The parties discussed the situation in the occupied Donbas and near-front line.
The delegates of PACE were interested, in particular, in the willingness of Ukrainian state authorities to begin work in the occupied territories after the clean up.
It was as about the conduct of the electoral process, so about public order processing, combating corruption mechanisms and other offenses.
"The police is ready to perform its functions to ensure public order immediately after the liberation of the occupied territories", - pointed out the adviser to Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ivan Varchenko. He also assured the PACE delegates that other central bodies of executive power, subordinated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, are ready to fully operate in the liberated territories of Donbass and the Crimea.
